SBS&D 1.4 Not Seeing Any New Updates

Hi, I see from here, there's a new update dated 3/28/07. When I have Spy Bot check for updates, it says no newer ones are found. Under "Help" and "about" it says my last update is 2/28/07, which is what I have written down as the last time an update was available. Please advise. Thanks for your time, patmac

This updates the detection rules. Only needed if you do not want to use the update function integrated into Spybot-S&D

I'm not sure if this will show any clues,but maybe if you post a portion of your Update downloads.log,it might help:
Please open Spybot,click Update,then over to the right press Show log,scroll down close to the bottom of it,highlight some of the text with your mouse(around 20 or 30 lines or so),then rightclick and select Copy,then Paste it here.

Could you navigate to C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Updates,then doubleclick online.ini,which should open in notepad,then highlight the first portion of that log,the first 60 lines or more?Thank you.

Yes,what I was looking for is there.

It looks like the current spybotsd.ini isn't being downloaded and copied to the online.ini.md usa spybot fan suggested this might be due to an ISP proxy server still storing an old copy of spybotsd.ini,so that the new updates do not show up.

I have to go out for a little bit,but when I come back,I'll see what else I can find out.If not back tonight,I'll post tomorrow for sure.

Hi,patmac.

Could you navigate back to C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Updates and delete online.ini?Then can you close that,open Spybot and do another check for updates.Next,could you please go back to the online.ini file,and copy the first 60 lines or so of online.ini once again,then paste it here?Thanks.

Deleted online.ini, ran spybot check for updates, navigated back to online.ini as you requested and it's not there. Did you mean to navigate back to it in the Recycle Bin?

No,I meant to navigate back to it at C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Updates.online.ini must not have been re-created when you checked for an update.Now,I'm a bit stuck as to where to go from here,so I will go ask for some help.
