    Default Hypignon?

Is there a known false positive about a Trojaner named "Hupignon"?

Around the 22.April I got such a message about a Trojaner called "Hupignon"
while running spybot. I few days before there was nothing.

I then tested my whole PC with different Virus Scanners,Antispy-Tools
and Rootkit Revealers. Tests where in normal Windows mode, safe mode
and from Boot-CD. Also I used the recommended online scanners which
are announced in another thread of this forum.

    But nothing!!!

Then, on the 26.4, I run Spybot again after updating to the latest patterns
and there's no message anymore. Between this 2 dates there was always
    the message about "Hupignon".

Was this a false positive which is corrected in the new patterns from 25.4.?

    Thx

    hello,

there has been a false positive with Hupignon which has been corrected with the updates from 2007-01-26, after that there has been no changes to the detecton rules on Hupignon concerning false positives.

It might be best if you submit the scanning and fixing reports of the dates you mentioned, that way we can determine what has been flagged as Hupignon and wether your computer is infected.

I've the hijackthis logs from the infection spybot reported
and I can make a new from now where spybot doesn't
report anything, only the usual 2-3 tracking cookies.

Should I post them here or in another thread?

Please include the HJT log in your email, rather than posting it here, as hjt logs are normally analysed in the Malware Removal Forum

Include a linkback to this topic.
