Spy Sherrif & Coolwwwsearch

Hi

This is my first post so please advise if you require further information.

Last night I recieved the above Spy Sherrif, a virus hit me but avg stopped it. However when i open internet explorer the homepage comes up with secure32.html. When i change the homepage it just resets itself back to it.

I have followed the instructions on the below posted threads,
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=1316, the homepage seems to be resolved and back to normal however the panda scan indicated that secure32 is still on my pc, still unsure as I am not that technical. Also in addition whilst I was running the checks I found that I also had Coolwwwsearch, I think that this may have been removed as well.

That's quite an improvement! I suggest that you install and update both SpywareBlaster & SpyGuard to prevent the installation of spyware and other potentially unwanted software:

If you use Internet Explorer, IE-Spyad will add thousands of sites into your IE restricted zone: https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/resource.htm .

Another useful program is StartupMonitor, which will warn you when somethings tries to sneak in: http://www.mlin.net/StartupMonitor.shtml
