Looks like this thread has kinda stalled. While waiting for new inspiration, check out Cookie Monster:

Yeah, the more I started studying for this thing, I quickly realized this was a vocabulary competition, the National vocabulary Championship....I probably dont stand a chance, but I learned some good words in here....does anybody know any vocabulary games? www.winwithwords.com has all kinds of study related material from the princeton review on how to pick up new words....

    any other suggestions?

    Crossword puzzles?

Does anyone in here who currently is in high school wants to enter the National Vocab Competition? If so register at http://www.winwithwords.com/compete.phpor by entering the Citywide Championship in selected cities across the country. I'll be competing in Los Angeles this November.

Default I am thinking that perhaps ...

we could start a new game that everyone can play, even my Mom!

Any American or British English word (depending on your translator capability). The word begins with the ending letter of the last word. The word MUST be 8 or more characters. It MUST NOT be a person, or a Public place.

In other words from you folks from Yorba Linda, no film stars, or fast food restaurants.

Spelling from both languages (Britain and America are separated by a common language - Winston Churchill)

Sole judge is the Forum at large. (should cause some discussion by itself ...)

    What Say You?

    First word:

    Defenestrate

Wiki is allowed. Any research is prolly good research.

I dare you all to play!
