    Default What happened to Firefox?

    It should be simple.

While browsing Firefox suddenly shut down. When I go to click on the icon it was renamed to "m" It is probably something I should be concerned about, but do you have any possible answers?

Devan, a corrupt profile can cause Firefox problems, sometimes an extension is involved.

I would follow spybot_S&D user's advice, and inquire in the Mozilla forums if you have not already done so.
