Default popups and sudden restarts, perhaps smitfraud

Hello, my computer has basically been driving me crazy for the last five days! Whenever I start it in normal mode, random popups appear and occasionally the computer just restarts. However it is more stable now in safe mode. I've run Spybot Search & Destroy and it came up with Smitfraud, I deleted it but the popups still appear. I've also run AVG Anti-Spyware but nothing malicious appears.
I use the browser Maxthon, if that makes a difference.

Hi and welcome to the Board

I'm Blade and I am going to try to help you with your problem. Please take a note of five things.

    1. I will start working on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
    2. The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine
    3. The process is not instant. Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine is clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
    4. If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't keep going on.
    5. Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.

    Please download
    VundoFix.exe
    to your desktop.
    • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
    • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files,
      click YES
    • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing
      Vundo.
    • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer,
      click OK.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above
    instructions starting from
Click the Scan for Vundo button when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.
    http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip
Extract all the files to your Destop. A folder named SmitfraudFix will be created on your Desktop.

    ______________________________

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter

This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. When it is done, the results of the scan will be displayed and it will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log along with all others requested in your next reply.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a
    RiskTool
; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between
    good
    and
    malicious
use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

    Please post:
    contents of C:\rapport.txt
    contents of C:\vundofix.txt
    a fresh hjt log
