Default Immunize and Administrator rights under Vista

Since Immunize requires Administrator rights under Vista, why does the button not prompt for elevated rights automatically? This would save having to go into the Start menu whenever I want to update the program.

In the meantime, is there any way to set up a shortcut that, when clicked on, will prompt for elevated rights automatically?

Yes,you could rightclick the Spybot shortcut, select Properties, click the Shortcut tab, click the Advanced button, put a checkmark beside Run As Administrator, click OK,then Apply, and OK.That way you'll be prompted for elevated rights automatically whenever you start Spybot using that particular shortcut.

Thanks. I see I can do this to the program file itself, thus forcing the icon in the system tray to prompt for elevated rights automatically.

    You're welcome.
Yes,you should get the prompt for elevated rights from every shortcut, etc. after setting SpybotSD.exe to run as administrator in Program Files.
