I received the following error message when I went to fix the problems Spybot had found:

Error during check!: Virtual Bouncer [4] (Access violation at address 005A751C in module 'SpybotSD.exe'. Read of address 05BDFFFF) ()

What does it mean, and is it an important message.

I still received notification of a few cookies that needed to be cleaned up.

Enquiring minds want to know.

Pure speculation, but since the exact cause/effect has not been determined, although the scan completes it may be skipping something when the actual error occurs. Just try running less other things while running the Spybot scan and you may not get the error to begin with.

Whatever the problem was, I got a clean scan overnight, and life is good.
