HJT in it's own folder
------------------------

Please put your HijackThis in it's own folder, (I create a new folder in C:\ named HJT).
You can do a Right Click on any open area on the desktop, New> Folder, then rename the folder HJT.

Go to where your HijackThis is and Right Click on HijackThis.exe, select Cut, then open the new folder you just created (HJT) Right Click in the folder and select paste.

The reason we do this is Hijackthis creates backup files just in case you'd need to restore one and we'll be cleaning out the temp files.


Downloading needed applications
-------------------------------

Please download AVG Anti-Spyware to your Desktop or to your usual Download Folder.

• Install AVG Anti-Spyware by double clicking the installer.
• Follow the prompts. Make sure that Launch AVG Anti-Spyware is checked.
• On the main screen under Your Computer's security.
  
  • Click on Change state next to Resident shield. It should now change to inactive.
  • Click on Change state next to Automatic updates. It should now change to inactive.
  • Next to Last Update, click on Update now. (You will need an active internet connection to perform this)

Close ALL open Windows / Programs / Folders. Please start AVG Anti-Spyware and run a full scan.

ok here it is. the only thing i was worried about was the delete files. i deleted the bottom two filesin your list, but i didnt find the ipmon.exe (i think i already deleted the program before) but i did find these two similar files.

well it looks like my pc is back to normal.
i did a yahoo spyware scan, avg and spybot.
spybot found one smitfraud register key and i was now able to get rid of it. i restarted and did the scan again and it did not come back.

if you see anything else wrong it the HJT scans please tell me.
other than that, its safe to uninstall all the tools right?

Close browsers and other windows. Click fix checked.

Creating & executing batch file
-------------------------------

Open notepad and then copy and paste the bolded lines below into it. Go to File > save as and name the file fixes.bat, change the Save as type to all files and save it to your desktop. (If you are still unsure on how to do this there is a little tutorial with pictures here)
