Hmm the log doesn't seem to be created correctly...
Let's try another option...

To generate a HijackThis Startup list:

1. Open HijackThis by double-clicking the desktop shortcut or HijackThis.exe
2. Click on "Open the Misc Tools Section"
3. Make sure that both boxes to the right of "Generate StartupList Log" are checked:

* List also minor sections (Full)
* List empty sections (Complete)

4. Click "Generate StartupListLog"
5. Click "Yes" at the prompt.

This scan might take around 3+ hours to finish when set to scan everything.

• Please be sure it has finished before proceeding.
• Once the Scan has finished, all entries identified as Infected, will be displayed in the lower panel.
• Highlight everything that is inside the lower panel and hit Ctrl+C at the same time to copy.
• Open an empty notepad file and paste the results (Ctrl+V) to it. Save the notepad to your desktop, name it as you want (e.g; MWav Results).

Reboot into normal Windows and post the results here along with a fresh HijackThis log. Also post a fresh HjT startuplist log (complete)

this is a multi page post. i noticed that there were items in the log from mwav that looked like they weere part of the mwav u gave me link to that said 'infected by "Exe.Corrupted" Virus'. by the way i went to the mwav web site and downloaded the program from there being as after a 1/2 hour i wasn't able to get the one you linked to to work. is it just a bad link or download? or was there a virus attached to it? just wondering not accusing anyway here are the logs from the mwav, HJT and HJT start up. how did i end up with grokster in here or gain gator we don't use a peer 2 peer service?
