    Default Weird problem

I ran spybot on my wife's PC yesterday as IE was locking up each time it opened. I ran updated McAfee to check for viruses without result, then ran Spybot. It found a heap of processes (130 odd) so I ran removal. It couldn't remove them all and asked to be rebooted to remove them on restart. After doing the original removal, Teatimer started asking to allow registry changes. I allowed the first couple then the next ones were asking to remove windows processes, so I denied the first couple and closed teatimer as it seemed to be asking to delete all windows registry processes. I rebooted and while windows started and loaded up to network username and password, nothing else loaded. Ctrl, alt, delete, close program dialog is empty. Also the PC can't find the CD-ROM so I can't reload windows. It's not even mentioned in setup.
    Has anyone got any ideas?

    Hi rosemeadoil

"I rebooted and while windows started and loaded up to network username and password, nothing else loaded."

My first thought is perhaps you rebooted into safe mode command prompt only ?

What operating system is it you (wife's PC) have ?
How long has SpyBot 1.4 been installed on it ?

Default Are you in Rosemead CA?

methinks you are running 9x-me from the ctl alt del
did you hit return when the windows networking box came up
    or mouse click it?
are you using a password or is the password box blank?
if so just click yes or hit return and you load will proceed

how do you get rid of that damn windows networking password box anyway
