    Default Am I missing something?

I'm not that knowledgeable with computers.

Today I ran Spybot S&D after updating it...

    It showed the following problems

    Commission Junction
    Core Metrics
    DoubleClick and three others...

I checked the box and "fixed" them, or so I thought.

I reran Spybot, and there they were...

I rebooted, and there they are all back...

Are these things instantly spawning again?
    Is my Spybot broken?

    Suggestions would be helpful...

    Thanks,
    j

    Could you please do this?

    1. Open SpyBot.
    2. Check for problems.
    3. When finished, right click and choose copy results (not the full report) to clipboard and post that into topic.

Note: Yesterday I did go though my cookies in Firefox and removed all that I did not recognize. This took care of Commission Junction, Doubleclick and MediaPlex, but Coremetrics and Statcounter remain. Again, today, I tried "fixing" these two, but upon running Spybot again, they are still there..

Might these be cookies that "belong" or are necessary to Firefox, or should Spybot be removing these cookies?

    Thanks for looking at this...

    j

In regard to the detections identified as Firefox tracking cookies. Sometimes Spybot has trouble removing Firefox tracking cookies. There are suggestions in the following post on how to remove them as well as block them from being stored in the future:

Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition running on a 2.40GHz IntelŪ PentiumŪ 4 Processor with 512 MB of RAM and a 533 MHz System Bus.
