    Default S&D Won't delete problems

    Hi there,

    I'm new to the board.

S&D won't delete the entries it finds. This has been going on for months now.

It's also finding another paid program I got a few years ago saying it's an entry when it's not - Scan Spyware.

So there are 2 issues here.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks a ton

Produce a short log (showing items flagged)
    • Open SpyBot.
    • Check for problems.
    • When finished, right click and choose copy results (not the full report) to clipboard and post that into topic.

As to Scan Spyware, it is on the Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites list.

Please post a log of the actual detections you are getting. To do that:
    • Run a "Check for problems".
    • Do a "Fix selected problems".
    • Run another "Check for problems".
    • When the scan completes, right click on the results list, select "Copy results to clipboard" (do not select "Copy full report to clipboard").
    • Then paste (Ctrl+V) those results to a new post in this thread.

    Thanks

Ok, very strange, it's working now. Why is it working all of a sudden? LOL

As for Scan Spyware, I bought it about 3-4 yrs. ago, it removed something back then that Anti Vir couldn't remove, so do you really think I should delete it?

It finds things even Spybot doesn't find.

Also I see S&D removed Clickbank, that's not the site clickbank is it?

    Thanks for all your help

Ok, I take that back. I just ran it again & it's not deleting.

I'm running it a 3rd time & then I'll do what you wanted me to do.

In regard to the detections identified as Firefox tracking cookies. Sometimes Spybot has trouble removing Firefox tracking cookies. There are suggestions in the following post on how to remove them as well as block them from being stored in the future:

Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.
