Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information. "BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

No malware showing in your HJT log, what program is telling you about a "command services" problem and what information is this program providing you? If this is Spybot, make sure your program is completely up to date and fully immunized. Then run it according to the instructions in the "Before you Post" information to see if it still reports the problem.

While malware can slow a computer it is certainly not always the reason. Have a look at these links to see if they help.

Its the aol spyware protector. it pops up about every 5-10 minutes saying it has found command services and blocked it. since i started recieveing that message my computer has been creashing and then it will only restart in "last known good configuration" mode and i have to re-install my wireless cards drivers to get back on the internet.

If there is no malware, i guess maybe it is a hardwear problem and i need to just take the computer in to be repaired. i just thought since all this started happening when the command services thing popped up that it was connected to that.

You are saying this "aol spyware protector" is the only program reporting this item? This program does not provide any information?
What would happen if you turned the aol program off?
OH- and i forgot to ad- i cant run any of my anti-spyware or virus scans b/c the computer crashes in the middle of those.
I was going to suggest running AVG Anti-Spyware or another program, but if you can not run them, we are kind of stuck. Any error message at all that might give us a clue?

As you can see this can be a lot of issues, Spybot even reports a leftover called that but I very much doubt it would cause the problems you are having.

If you want to try a free diagnostic, you can run one here:

The AOL spyware protector basically says it has found and blocked "command services". i get that message every 10 minutes. AOL allows me to view the blocked item and it says command services, adware, and nuisance. When i try to run other scans i get the blue screen of death and then my computer shuts down. the blue screen has an error message on it, but it doesnt stay up long enough for me to read it. when it trys to restart it makes me go to the last known good refiguration and reload my wireless driver. actually now, every time i turn the computer off i have to go to last know good configuration.

I ran the PC pitstop diagnostic and here are the results: http://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress...46HW300YVSBKWW

Your diagnostic report indicates minor problems on the C,D drives, did you look to see what they suggest?

    • Reduce System Restore space (Drive C)

    http://www.pcpitstop.com/pcpitstop/TipRestore.asp
Drive C has 17473MB of space allocated for System Restore.
Drive D has 838MB of space allocated for System Restore.

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...s/mcgill1.mspx

I would read all of the information in the report if I were you.

    http://www.pcpitstop.com/pcpitstop/DskSlow.asp
TIP > Unusually low disk performance
Drive C has an uncached speed of 10 megabytes per second.

For comparison, systems with the same CPU and clock speed as this one have a speed of 24.1 MB/s.

There is no way I can say this is causing your problems, but I sure would turn off that aol program to see what happens. Without more information (error message) and the ability to run scans looking for hidden malware, there is little I can do. From the diagnostic report, there is a possibility your hard drive is about to go at some point. I am not a hardware expert and can only speculate You can post at the link I provided at PCPitStop for help. Those folks would be better able to advise you about that hard drive issue.

If you come up with additional information, post it to see if it helps.

I wish I could do more.

    Thanks...Phil
