Dad's Computer, Need help ASAP

I'm trying to fix my father's computer and he leaves soon in a day so i'm hoping to get a response.

He has what seems to be virtumonde.

Though i've followed instructions given to other users and i cannot get rid of the "Security warning" at startup

I've ran VundoFix and found nothing, i've scanned with the new AVG and its gotten rid of some things, just not this.

• Unzip/extact it to a folder on the desktop
• Double click on UNDLL.EXE to start UnDLL
• Click on Select infected DLL
• Locate and select this file:
  C:\WINDOWS\system32\qomljge.dll
• Click Open
• UnDLL will now attempt to delete the DLL file
• If asked to restart your PC, click No
• Repeat the above steps for this file:
  

  C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winzwr32.dll

• Once you have used UnDLL on all the files, restart your PC manually

Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter
This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. When it is done, the results of the scan will be displayed and it will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log along with all others requested in your next reply.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.

You are using an older version of HijackThis. Please do the following to download and install the latest version of HijackThis v2.0.2:

CLICK HERE to download the HijackThis Installer:

1. Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
2. Double-click on HJTInstall.exe to run the program.
3. By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.

You should print out these instructions, or copy them to a NotePad file for reading while in Safe Mode, because you will not be able to connect to the Internet to read from this site.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :

• Restart your computer
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
• Choose your usual account.

Once in Safe Mode, double-click on SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.
A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Warning : running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.

• Download Silent runners by Andrew Aronoff from here
• Unzip/extract it to a folder on your desktop
• Double click on Silent Runners.vbs to start Silent runners
• If your antivirus warns you about a script, allow it to run, this script does not contain malicious code
• You will be asked if you want skip the supplementary search, click Yes
• Wait for Silent runners to inform you that it has finished
• A log will be created in the same folder as Silent Runners.vbs
• It will have a name of Startup Programs (yourusername) date-time.txt
• Use notepad to open that file
• Copy and paste the contents as a reply to this topic, along with a new HijackThis log

During the process, it didn't come up with

That... and then after it was done it just left him at a blank screen for a bit with no taskbar, so i had him manually reset the computer.

and i didn't do option2. because you called it option 2, and option 1 seemed easier.
