    Default Help with running spybot

First I am new to this program. However, I have great need to clean up my computer before it gets on my nerve to the point of madness. I have installed the program but it does not activate after installation. I have tried using the shortcut on my desktop and the hourglass comes on for a few seconds, but nothing happens. In addition, I cannot de-install it to try and re-install unless I start the computer in safe mode and de-install it that way. I don't know if Im doing something wrong, or there is something in my computer preventing the program to run. I have Norton Premier 07 installed, but I disable the virus prior to installation. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes. I keep having problems with my browser being hijacked. I keep getting redirects and add specially the winpro 07 spyware add. I downloaded Spybot 1.5. I am unable to run it at all. I am also unable to de-install it without going into safe mode.

    andydee:

I suggest that you consider posting in the Malware Removal forum and having someone take a look at your system.

If you decide to have an experienced malware removal specialist assist you, please follow the procedure in this link to run scans and produce a HijackThis log:
After you have completed the required scans and produced the requested logs, start your own thread in the Malware Removal forum, making sure to post the logs produced from the above instructions.

Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.

Yes,and if you have any problems running the antivirus scan, you can just put in a note, and you might want to leave a note about being unable to run Spybot:
