Exclamation 0x0000007B Stop Error After Scan

I was trying to fix a computer for a friend the yesterday. I figured I would give the new Spybot 1.5 a shot. The scan was executed in Safe-Mode and reported many infections (about 60). Here is the problem, after rebooting the machine, it crashes with stop error 0x0000007B. The user is [currently] unable to find his system disk and I'm unsure of what I should do to make the machine bootable again.

I would appreciate your help in saving my skin from said friend's mother.

I see that I didn't make this clear enough in my first post. The machine does not boot at all, be it Safe Mode or normally. I forgot to mention that the OS was Windows XP SP2.

I do have an Ophcrack CD, couldn't this be used to crack said password(s)?
