    Hi

Can you please check and confirm that the account you are using on the computer is an Administrator account:

Start > Control Panel > double-click User Accounts.

Is your account shown as an Administrator?

    Hi

    See here

To modify one of the four security "zones", click on the zone's icon, then click the "Custom Level..." button.

Choose Internet (the globe), then click Custom Level... button.

Then go to Reset Custom Settings and choose Medium from Reset to menu.

    Click ok.

    Does it work now?

    Hi

    Then it won't work.

Next I want you to check this:

Choose Internet (the globe), then click Custom Level... button.

Check if in ActiveX controls and plug-ins Download signed ActiveX controls has been set to either Enable or Prompt; if it's set to Disable, change it to Prompt and click ok.

    Try again after that, please.

The kaspersky Initializing scan stopped and gave me the smae message:

Failed to load Kaspersky Online Scanner ActiveX control!

    You must have administrative rights on this computer;
you also must have the IE security settings to the Medium level.

Is it because I need to install kavwebscan_unicode.cab ?
