    Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
    "BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
    All advice given is taken at your own risk.
    Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.
    The very best thing to do is read the directions, they are posted above and pinned to the top of the forum.

    Exactly what tools did you run on the computer beside HJT? Please do not run and post the Kaspersky scan until I request it.

    This is a LOP/C2 Media infection at the least, please read and follow the directions.

    Please Download NoLop to your desktop from one of the links below...
    http://www.spywareedge.net/nolop/NoLop.exe
    http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/index....tpmod;dl=get16

    First close any other programs you have running as this will require a reboot
    Double click NoLop.exe to run it.
    Now click the button labelled "Search and Destroy"
    <<your computer will now be scanned for infected files>>
    When scanning is finished you will be prompted to reboot only if infected, Click OK
    Now click the "REBOOT" Button.
    A Message should popup from NoLop. If not, double click the program again and it will finish Please Post the contents of C:\NoLop.log along with a fresh HijackThis log.

    --If you receive an error, "mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered," please download mscomctl.ocx to your system32 folder then rerun the program. --
    http://www.boletrice.com/downloads/mscomctl.ocx

    Note: Please post nolop.log anyway, it might say that no infections found.

    Thanks

    Thanks for returning your information, you can remove NoLop from your computer.

    C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_02\ <<< update your Java program, see this:
    http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.p...80&postcount=2

    (if you still have ATF-Cleaner, no need to download it again)
    Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
    http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
    Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

    Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page =
    O16 - DPF: {DF780F87-FF2B-4DF8-92D0-73DB16A1543A} (PopCapLoader Object) - http://download.games.yahoo.com/game...ploader_v6.cab
    ADW_POP.A

    Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

    Run ATF Cleaner
    Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
    Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
    Click the Empty Selected button.
    Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

    Restart and post a new HJT log and tell me how the computer is running.

    Thanks

    It's surely my privilege to be able to assist. The HJT log looks fine, is she reporting any other issues? So much of the junk hides anymore. Let's have Kaspersky take a look for anything hidden, the scan will take about one hour.

    Run this online scan using Internet Explorer:
    Kaspersky Online Scanner from http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

    Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner

    You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

    * The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
    * Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
    * Now click on Scan Settings
    * In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    * Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    * Standard
    * Scan Options:
    * Scan Archives
    * Scan Mail Bases
    * Click OK
    * Now under select a target to scan:
    * Select My Computer
    * This will program will start and scan your system.
    * The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
    * Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    * Now click on the Save as Text button:
    * Save the file to your desktop.

    Then post it here.

    Thanks...Phil
