ok what i mean is sometimes my computer seems ok in terms of speed and other times it is quite slow
i only had the dr watson once this afternoon but had it on and off a few times over past six months
Hi
How much RAM you have?
I already give you a link for slowness, if that doesn't help, you may need hardware upgrade.

I will look at slowness link to see what i can do
for what it is worth i think i have have 512 mb ram. my computer is up to 5 years old and a DELL dimension
2400[it had norton 2003 preinstalled and xp service pack 1 preinstalled ]
Hi
Adding more RAM and/or defragging should help.
Also, your windows installation is pretty old; reformatting might not be a bad idea as windows tends to get slower among time.

Right ok
I have reinstalled windows XP home edition on the computer 2 with DELL tech support as spyware rendered computer unrepairable[well maybe if i had your skills ]
anyhow
I came on here to stop that experience happening again...
so i will
1: see what i can do based on the link you gave me
2: Defrag
3: failing that consider ram upgrade or broadband upgrade[its not only on internet computer slows up]
thanks
Hi
Yes, those tips should help unless you need hardware upgrade (like more RAM).
