    Default Anti-Virus Software

I currently have Norton Anti-Virus, which I want to get rid of. A friend said that she came to SpyBot.com and downloaded something, she called it the full package, which she believes contains anti-virus, pop-up blocker, firewall and spyware detection. Can you please let me know what this is, as I have looked at the site and not seen what she is speaking about? Thannks

Wonder what she downloaded and from where.

Spybot-Search & Destroy is not designed to find and remove viruses or worms. The program searches for spyware, malware, adware, trojans, hijackers and keyloggers, and does not include a firewall.

I cannot speak for AntiVir, but...

AVG is a quick, easy (imo) to navigate, low memory virus detector.

Avast takes up a bit more memory to provide real time protection, a virus recovery thing, and has (imo) a poor u.i.
