    Default Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.bfj

This computer is running slow, and shows other signs of an infection.

Kaspersky found Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.bfj and Spybot S&D found and removed several items (I have the log if you need it.). Below are the HJT and Kaspersky logs. (I removed a large amount of skipped items from the Kaspersky log so it would be small enough to post.)

    Thanks for your help, Pete

Hey Pete, where are you picking up this junk? The HJT log is clean, but Kaspersky shows a nasty exploit.

    C:\Documents and Settings\caleb\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\ <<< clean your Java cache

Delete the file in red, it may be in two places:
    C:\Documents and Settings\becki\Application Data\mcrupdate.exe
    C:\Documents and Settings\caleb\Application Data\mcrupdate.exe

C:\RECYCLER\ <<< empty the recycle bin on the Desktop.

Restart the computer and follow these directions to clean the infected System Restore file:

Run another Kaspersky to be sure it is clean, do not post a clean scan, just let me know all it well.

    Thanks...Phil

PS: I suggest you update to Internet Explorer 7 for the additional security it give you.

    Phil,

Thank you for the assistance. (Sorry, I forgot to post back sooner.)

Another user visited some bad sites... that situation has been corrected. No one uses IE on this computer, only Firefox.

Kaspersky is now clean. Unless you have anything further, I think we can consider this case closed.

    Thanks again, Pete

Thanks Pete, for the feedback Keep in mind the reason the hackers go after IE are the numbers of users they can infect. Here is information to help keep you clean and safe.
