    Default SpyBot is commonly hanging

It usually happens when a scheduled scan is attempting to start or I attempt to run SpyBot from the TeaTimer SysTray icon. When I started the program from TeaTimer, it displayed the update reminder but that window never responded to clicks. That might be the same window that I see in the scheduled starts. (It is quite small.)

maybe spyware is blocking it from starting?

maybe you could try to reinstall it

Have you removed Spybot from the Scheduled Tasks? Go into Windows Task Manager and make sure that Spybot - Search & Destroy (SpybotSD.exe) is not running (it could be running hidden if you used the /TASKBARHIDE parameter on the scheduled run).

Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.

    Thumbs up

Reinstalling appears to have worked. Got me a definition update too. I do not use the /TASKBARHIDE option.
