Just a newbie here, requiring urgent help..

I deleted the following registry entry <local machine\software\microsoft\windows\current version\explorer\zonemap\domains> , now this had several websites in it .......... were these spybot's 'Immunise' function inserts for restricted files atall?? , how do I restore if they are would Immunise be able to put them all back??

If not where in REgedit does Spybot enter these restricted files ? is it ..........<" " " \Zone>

could anyone pls help fix this....

During immunization Spybot 1.5 adds entries to the following registry key (among others) to place sites in the restricted zone:

    Code:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains]
Just try to immunize again and see if Spybot re-establishes that key.

The item in Spybot > Immunize is Internet Explorer (32 bit) - \SOFTWARE (Domains) and the current count of Protected items should be 7853.

Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.

Default tried re-immunizing to no avail

Just wondering whether updating to Spybot 1.5 and installing over the existent 1.4 might resolve the issue and re-instate the regedit key for protected programs..?

I have an old registry backup which is old and there have been heaps of changes I made over a period of time especially to my tcp/ip which works great ! (now) and removed a few entries which regedit and ccleaner couldn't and wouldn't want to deal with those issues all over again.

besides, just checked a mates computer to realise Spybot had made no entries to the domains key in the aforesaid registry key code you've pasted.... and yet claimed immunisation to be complete and effective! ?? there are heaps of entries in the 'Ranges' key dunno if they are related to Spybot atall??

Spybot 1.4 does not immunize in that registry key. Unless you are using something else that does, you don't need the key.

Even with Spybot 1.4 you which should be protected because Spybot uses following registry key to place sites in the restricted zone:

    Code:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains]
