    Red face FP...Freshbinder w/C:\WINDOWS\WININIT.INI...Help Plz

Here are my specs if needed:

(Hm, that dealio is not suppose to be there)

Anyway, here is the logs that I saved:

Oh, yeah, I update Spybot S&D every day in the a.m. so it was up to date.

    hello,

thank you for reporting this issue properly

your scan result shows that an entry within your wininit.ini was detected, fixing would remove that single line within your wininit.ini not the wininit.ini itself. If a file is targeted by Spybot S&D the column "kind" states "file".

In this case Spybot S&D detected a pending file rename operation stated in the wininit.ini, such an operation is executed on the next system reboot and the command for the operation is then removed from the wininit.ini.

So Spybot S&D will usually not find this entry anymore unless there is another identical operation entered into the wininit.ini.

The rename operation in this case is actually a delete operation since the "IRSETUP.exe" would be renamed to nothing. Since this operation does not appear to be unique to Freshbind, we will change the detection rules on this effective with the next update.

    Default Continued detection

OK, I am going to really let my intelligence shine here, LOL, NOT.

Sorry to say I am still confused as to whether it is OK to let SB S&D fix this. I am sure you said that plainly for most people but I am a ditz.

Also, do you mean after letting SB S&D fix it, it will not appear again? Like, if it shows up on my hard drive once again, SB S&D just won't detect it and it will just stay on the PC?

As well, I have since rebooted several times, in doing system maintenance and then shutting down last night and rebooting this morning. It still shows up each time. Did you mean it shouldn't?

I hope I am making sense in asking my questions.

I am really appreciative of your help. Thank you ever so much.

    God bless,
    LilacScentz
