Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition running on a 2.40GHz IntelŪ PentiumŪ 4 Processor with 512 MB of RAM and a 533 MHz System Bus.
Sorry, should have read more first. Here is the requested information.
OS: Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 x64 (Standard Ed)
Browser: IE7, latest patches
Spybot: 1.5.2.20 (Latest regular & Latest beta update)
The false-positive is in the scan results. After fix, it is clean, however windows protection puts the file back automatically from backups.
This started when I upgraded to 1.5.2.20 I do not know what version I had before.
I had to zip the report as it is 50k

I am also getting this cool Search tapicfg.exe probem in Spy Bot. I also just updated to the latest version. Never had this before on previous version. I have run Spy Bot 3 times once upon boot up. I also am Running Win 2003. Coincidence? Windows keeps putting file back on reboot. Is this a false positive? I even did the registry removal suggested at Trend Micro. Still it keeps showing up in Spy Bot. What gives?
hello,
thank you for reporting this.
It is a false positive with Windoes 2003, please set the detection to be ignored from further searches.
We will correct this false positive with the next update.
