Default VUndo and Virtumonde Removal Assistance Requested

The time before last that I ran SpyBot it showed Virtumonde and indicated in the notes that a reboot was required and to contact you. When I clicked on fix a green check mark was next to it. What else do I need to do?

I ran VundoFix, ATF Cleaner, Avast and SpyBot that seemed to work. Unfortunately, when I disabled onboard virus and spyware software and tried an online virus search with ActiveScan, the trojan/virus/malware seemed to come back again.

The HighjackThis v 2.0.2 log was created in safemode after again running on Windows XP Media Center Edition VundoFix, ATF Cleaner, Avast and SpyBot . Would you prefer that the txt file be attached?

Besides the many tmp files in mydocuments and the c drive that I deleted at a command prompt, most time in a normal boot my desktop icons are hidden as is the task bar. If I hit ctrl-alt-del the task manager will come up while everything else is hidden. I still have the red x on my C drive in explorer in normal mode.

I have ComboFix.exe downloaded to my desktop and await your instructions. Clearly, I was following the procedures outlined at atribune.org. Since I receive the "special" message from your program regarding Virtumonde, I thought it best to work with you.

With respect to the desktop issue and some of the earlier messages I was receiving, e.g., the windows image file assocated with a start-up process, I was considering running at the command prompt, sfc /scannow file checker, but decided to wait for your advice.

    Thanks
    blondcb

    Default Update

I was able to boot in Normal Mode and get the task bar and icons after several attempts. The following is a Hijackthis log.

Updated: Besides the many tmp files in mydocuments and the c drive that I deleted at a command prompt, most time in a normal boot my desktop icons are hidden as is the task bar. If I hit ctrl-alt-del the task manager will come up while everything else is hidden although when I try to run a new application it shows it running in task manager but nothing displays. I still have red X on my C drive in explorer. With respect to the desktop issue and some of the earlier messages I was receiving, e.g., the windows image file assocated with a start-up process, I was considering running at the command prompt, sfc /scannow file checker, as well as TweakUI to address the icons and taskbar but decided to wait for your advice. When I am able to boot in normal mode and see the icons and task bar the only message I get is: "Rundll - Error loading C:\windows\system32\kcanpodk.dll. The specified module could not be found."

    Thanks so very much

    Default Kcanpodk.dll ???

After multiple passes to remove Vundo and Virtumonde, I am left each time at boot the following message:

"Rundll - Error loading C:\windows\system32\kcanpodk.dll. The specified module could not be found."

Also still hav the Red X on my root drive (c).

I can not find any reference to this dll anywhere.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks
