Install Suggestion

Thanks for a terrific product. However, I was unable to use it the other day on a machine with a live infection. The infection had disabled internet access, and the install insists on contacting internet-based servers. There was no way around this in the install.

If there could be a "skip this step" feature in the install that would allow you to continue with available definitions, that would have helped immensely. Thanks much,

Hello,

During the installation Spybot tries to download the updates.
You can disable this function in the wizard itself.
Just untick the checkbox in front of "download updates during installation".
The updates can be downloaded later on.
