    Default Recurring Bug - Win32.tiny.abk

    Hi,

    Spybot keeps finding the win32.tiny.abk virus after each scan. Although I delete it the bug keeps coming back.

    I am using SpyBot - search & destroy 1.5.2.20 which is fully updated and fully immunised. I have tried running it in 'safe mode' but this has not helped.

    The hijack and Kaspersky logs were posted in the 'malware removal forum' here;

    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=24323

    I'd appreciate any advice you have ?

    It would be probably be helpful of you were to post a log of the actual detections you are getting. To do that:
    • Run another scan.
    • When the scan completes, right click on the results list, select "Copy results to clipboard".
    • Then paste (Ctrl+V) those results to a new post in this thread.
    Also have you tried to run Spybot at system startup or in Safe Mode?

    Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.

    Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition running on a 2.40GHz IntelŪ PentiumŪ 4 Processor with 512 MB of RAM and a 533 MHz System Bus.

    Have you tried to manually delete those two files? If so, what happens?

    The bug comes back after the next reboot, and the two .tmp files are recreated
