Stubborn Virus

I have a problem with Norton Antivirus not loading auto protect on boot up.

I ran the suggested fix from the Norton pop up warning and it fixed it only for it to reapppear on next boot. Norton found no virus but Kapersky did. Any assitance in helping me remove it would be fantastic. Spybot found no known issues. I am willing to uninstall any programs that may help remove the virus and speed up boot up which is currently very slow. I have Norton 2007 and there appears to be the remains of Norton Systemworks on my computer.

Let's talk a litle about what I see considering you are asking about boottime, first the HJT log.

1) C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5\
A good program but if you do not own it, it continues to use loads of resources once any trial is past and give no realtime benefits. I personally keep a copy for an occaisional scan, but I do not allow it to run unless I am scanning.
If you do not own this product, this is something you must think about.

2) C:\Program Files\Prevx1\ <<< do you own this one? I had it on my computer as a trial and it slowed me so badly I uninstalled it. Does a great job on tough trojans but once they are gone, I believe it is a resource hog. If you do not own it, uninstall it.

3) Integrator.exe <<< you aware this is running? I don't know the program and assume it has to do with this:

Here is what Kaspersky shown us:

1) C:\avenger\backup.zip <<< avenger is a specialty removal tool that should not be used without training, I have no idea what is in that zip file, the tool saves what it deletes in the event the creator needs a look at the bad files. I suggest you delete that folder from your computer.

2) Here are strange ones:

Looks like all of that junk is in that zip file so deleting the backup.zip folder will rid you of all of that. My advice is to delete the avenger program also. Download it new if you feel you must use it again.

Once that is done, empty the Recycle Bin on your Desktop and restart your computer. Follow the instructions in this link to clean infected System Restore files.

Check a Kaspersky scan to make sure you are clean, do not post a clean scan result please.
