HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 8:18:16 PM, on 2/26/2008 Looks fine. ResetTeaTimer.bat usually does the job but we will not know for sure until you activate TeaTimer, as soon as you finish the Kaspersky instructions, turn it on and let me know.

1) C:\VundoFix Backups\ <<< delete that folder and the contents

2) Empty the Recycle Bin on your Desktop

3) Restart the computer

4) Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Reboot

Turn ON System Restore,
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Well I'm happy to report that I am typing this post on my once (hopefully) infected computer with no issues!!! Although, after following your directions and rebooting I ran an AVG scan and the follwing Virus was detected, C:\\Program Files\Trend Micro\Hijack This\backups\backup-20080225-190509-138.dll AVG detected and moved to virus vault.

Other than that things seem well. Thank you again for all your help! Next stop PayPal!!!!

Thanks for that feedback, I doubt AVG (run it myself) can move stuff from the HJT Backups. HJT makes a backup of anything it removes in the event of a mistake (I have not seen one in years) but they are there if we need them. See this:

You may delete anything in that backups folder now.
