Looks like combofix killed the file and what is probably the driver that was putting it back. I want to mention that I suggest you upgrade to IE#7 when we finish for the extra security it provides if for no other reason.

I am sure you saw this:
WARNING -THIS MACHINE DOES NOT HAVE THE RECOVERY CONSOLE INSTALLED !!

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/comb...o-use-combofix

Review that information to understand Recovery Console. Installation is optional but if you do not have the CD's needed, as is explained, it can be installed before we remove combofix.
If you do not wish to install RC, let me know so I can complete the cleanup.

    Thanks

It is up to you if you wish to install RC, if you read the information I posted.
How to install and use the Windows XP Recovery Console
If on the other hand, you use Windows XP and do not have the Windows CD, ComboFix includes a method of installing the Windows Recovery console by downloading a file from Microsoft. To install the Windows Recovery Console when you do not have the Windows XP CD, please follow these instructions
If you do not wish to install it, remove combofix and I will close this topic.

    Thanks
