All scans freeze my computer
YIKES. Whenever I scan using either spybot or norton, it freezes my computer. I DO NOT GET ANY INFO regarding the scan as my computer freezes in the middle of it.
I do see REDIRECT-HOSTS as my freezing point on Spybot.
Even Symantec freezes the computer...how do i get rid of this and it is harming my computer?

Which version of Spybot-S&D are you running?
Do you have the latest updates installed?
Are you running any other anti-spyware tools?
Which operating system (Windows) are you running?
Do you have other processes running?

Not only freezes, but
Whenever i run spybot s&d in my computer, it just turn off my computer like a flick of a switch. I'm using the latest version, but when i used the ver 1.4, same thing happens... Wonder what causes this sudden kills..?
