    Post Value changed

I received the following warning that my registry has been changed
    Category : session manager
    Change: value
    Entry: boot execute
    Old data: autocheck autochk*
    New data: autocheck autochk* \Isdelete

It is asking me to allow or deny change. Since I do not know what this means, I am afraid to do either one. Could someone advise me this means and what it is recommended that I do?

    Thank you.

    xamtig:

Are you using Lavasoft's Ad-Aware? If so did you run a scan and encounter problems (detections)?

    Hi,

Thanks for your promt reply to my query.

Yes, I did run Lavasoft and reported the usual detections of tracking cookies which I always tell them to delete, but have never received a warning from Spybot before.

Should I allow the change now and in the future?

    Thanks again.

Do you also use ZoneAlarm? If so were you updating or installing ZoneAlarm at the time?

No, I do not have Zone Alarm, I have Kaspersky Internet Security. Now that you mentioned about I remembered that when I used the Lavasoft Ad-aware, it was upgraded . Could this be the culprit?

    Thanks.

The default for the "BootExecute" is usually autocheck autochk *. It appears that Lavasoft's Ad-Aware 2007 adds the extra parameter lsdelete (that’s LSDELETE not ISDELETE as you indicated). I have this parameter in my "BootExecute".

The reason I asked about ZoneAlarm was that it appears that I updated both Ad-Aware 2007 and ZoneAlarm about the same time last September when that entry was added to the "BootExecute" registry entry. I allowed the entry when it was changed.

    Default autocheck autochk *\

    Hi Guys,

Sorry for not being up to speed, but have a similar enquiry.

New data being "autocheck autochk *\sprecover \Syste..."

Unfortunately this is where the window ends and it won't let me find out what else.

    Any ideas?

In case you have not received an answer, it is very simple to view the remaining portion of the data in the window. Just drag the edge of the window (in any direction, from any side or corner) to expand it and voilà, you can see the rest.
