Default Vista, Opera, and Spybot have a little cookie trouble

I have a fresh in stall of Vista (ack) running Opera. SpyBot is not able to immunize the cookies. I know that the location has changed so maybe this relates. Here is forum post on this same subject over at Opera:

    hello,

with the beta version of Opera 9.5 the file format for the cookie immunization within Opera was changed. Due to this Spybot S&D currently cannot immunize Opera 9.5 beta cookies. Adjustments are in work and we will give word when the release is ready.

I am running XP and I also have this problem. Spybot cannot immunize 191 Opera cookies. This happened yesterday when I upgraded Opera to version 9.50. (9.50 is not a beta.)

    Lancelot:

Immunization of Opera 9.5 cookies works in the Spybot-S&D 1.6, beta 1 release and should work in Spybot-S&D 1.6, beta 2 just released today.

Thanks for the tip. But I am a bit wary of beta versions.
Can we expect a final S&D 1.6 within a few months?

Maybe immunizing Opera against cookies is less important than immunizing IE. Opera deletes cookies automatically when the browser is closed. I believe being a tracking cookie in Opera is somewhat difficult.

If you read the Spybot-S&D 1.6, beta 1 thread I pointed to, I think that you would find that very few problems have been encountered and that the scan times are greatly reduced. But feel free to make up your own mind.

Maybe this is wishful thinking, however, from Post #1 in that same reference:

A: U.S. Independence Day (4th of July) would be nice. Provided that there's enough feedback and no bigger problems appearing.

    Default Still not there...

Well, the cookies are being properly immunized again. However, there is a category of plugins for Opera (43 of them) remaining unprotected.

    Any ideas here?

Same is happening for me - I can immunize everything except those pesky 43 Opera plugins.

    Default Tested

I have confirmed this behaviour on all three of my Windows machines: 2 XP sp3 machines and one Server 2003 machine.
