    Hello,

And you have upgraded to the new Spybot 1.6 yet?
Are the Opera items cookies and software plugins that can't be immunized?

Please try to "Undo" the Immunisation. Now the bad products are allowed.
Then "Immunize" again. This should solve the problem for now.

Another thing though is that immunization only works properly while your browser is closed, since otherwise your browser will overwrite immunization from time to time from the settings it loaded when it was started.

    Best regards

I am still unable to Immunize Opera plugins.

When I Undo the Opera Immunize, those 43 plugins show as protected,
then go back to showing unprotected when I reImmunize Opera.

Default 43 Plugins for Opera still showing Unprotected

Ok, I have gone through the above suggestion and run Undo for immunization. Undo will move everything to Unprotected while moving Opera's 43 Plugins to Protected. You can get SpyBot to display Opera's Plugins as Unprotected at this point by choosing Help --> About and then clicking on the Immunize button again.

However, when you run immunization the 43 Opera Plugins remain Unprotected. If you leave off the Help --> About step (and thus leave the 43 plugins as Protected), when you run immunization all other categories move to Protected and the 43 Opera plugins move back to Unprotected.

I am running Spybot 1.6.1 on 2 XP sp3 machines and a Server 2003 machine. They all have this odd behaviour. (One of the XP machines actually shows 2 lines of Opera Plugins--43 each--with one Protected and the other Unprotected.)

Opera 9.52 and Spybot is fully up to date.

I used to have same problems with latest Opera on XP SP3.

Now, with latest Spybot, everything works.
Well, almost... I managed to immunize everything so there are 0 items left, but after that, when I opened Opera, I found that I'm logged out everywhere.
However, it didn't delete all my cookies, they're still there.

    Any idea what happened?

    Hello,

I too have had the same trouble, I performed the undo as stated above, then I unchecked the Opera plugin button then reimmunised. Everything is now showing as protected.

Everything WAS showing as protected. Within a few minutes the 43 plugins have now reverted back to unprotected. Back to the drawing board...

    Cheers.

Aha! For some time now, I have had problems with Opera and forums. Opera does not remember my logins, and also forgets all my settings I do on sites (cookie controlled settings).

Opera have been more or less unusable on many sites because of this. I was forced back to IE on several sites.

I never suspected Spybot caused this behaviour!

I will try to unprotect Opera cookies in Spybot and see if that helps.
Thank you ketas for bringing this up.

Nothing seems to be happening over there. Is this really being addressed?

    Default 43 Unprotected items

I'm running XP on 2 different machines, too. One shows:
    "Administrator (Plugins) 43 Unprotected"
    and
    "Administrator (Plugins) 43 Protected"

I saw the comment that Opera dumps cookies on close, but it's still disconcerting to see the "Unprotected."

Default Opera 9.6 (version is irrelevant)

After reading all the post regarding Opera x.y.z , it seem logical to admit that the problem is never gonna be solve. Looking at the dates of all the post, it is really lingering-on.

btw; anyone knows how to get rid of "Gina worm" in Vista (it is a registry key), even if gina was meant for NT only?

I have another one also, this one is called LoonyToony (or something like it). Again, it is a registry key. Any help on that too?

    Peace
    Ghis
