    Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
    "BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
    All advice given is taken at your own risk.
    Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

    You are infected, I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.
    This can be a tough infection to remove so do not expect fast or easy.

    Marc, remove Smitfraudfix from your computer. If we do need it, we would want a fresh download.

    C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks\Norton AntiVirus\Quarantine\ <<< delete the content of the NAV Quarantine folder
    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...00041213443506

    1) We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
    * Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
    * If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
    * On the left hand side, Click on Tools
    * Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
    * Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
    * Restart your computer.
    (leave TT disabled until we finish)

    2) Thanks to Atribune and any others who helped with this fix.

    http://vundofix.atribune.org/ <<< tutorial

    "Download VundoFix" to your Desktop

    http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4

    Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    When VundoFix opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
    Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
    Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
    In this case, VundoFix will attempt run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click
    the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot. Vundofix.txt will be on the C:\

    (wait until you finish to post reports and logs)

    3) Thanks to sUBs and anyone else who helped with this fix.

    It is important that it is saved directly to your Desktop

    Download ComboFix from Here to your Desktop
    • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
    • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply

    Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

    Post the Vundofix.txt, combofix log and a new HJT log.

    Tutorial if needed:

    Thanks for returning your information, proceed like this:

    1) I am not 100% sure these are bad, use one or more of these free online scans, if they scan bad, delete them manually:
    http://virusscan.jotti.org/
    http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus
    http://www.virustotal.com/

    C:\sqmdata01.sqm
    C:\sqmnoopt01.sqm
    C:\sqmdata00.sqm
    C:\sqmnoopt00.sqm

    2) How to make files and folders visible:
    Click Start > Open My Computer.
    Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
    Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
    Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
    Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
    Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
    You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.

    3) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
    http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
    Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

    4) Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the codebox below into it:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\tanatchw.exe

    Folder::
    C:\VundoFix Backups
    Save this as CFScript

    Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe.

    This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThis log.

    (wait until you finish to post the logs)

    5) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {B45584D5-ACEF-4C75-A89A-85DC316AEAB4} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\hgGxWmnK.dll (file missing)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Policies\Explorer\Run: [1aNZ7mYxmt] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\botcnipc\bwropavk.exe
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: cbXPiJba - cbXPiJba.dll (file missing)
    O21 - SSODL: CDBoot - {9cb0c724-69d0-42f3-b4e3-2a05101b930d} - (no file)
    O21 - SSODL: zip - {468bd20d-7efa-47f3-8961-5f626e9a0dd2} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\zip.dll

    Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

    6) Right click Start > Explore and navigate to these files/folders and delete them if there.

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\botcnipc\ <<< delete that folder and contents

    C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\zip.dll <<< delete that file only

    7) Run ATF Cleaner
    Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
    Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
    Click the Empty Selected button.
    Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

    Restart and post the combofix log and a new HJT log, please add your feedback.

    Thanks

    You asked me to use a online viruse scanner for some files you were not sure of. is it ok for me to connect the computer back to the internet? like i won't have all these viruses reinstalled?
    Well Marc, we should not delete the files without knowing what they are...right? You had to sign in to post this information. If the files are bad, they need to go so use those scans to find out.

    Your HJT log looks good, how is the computer running? We still have some infected System Restore files to clean so as soon as you resolve the issue of those files on your C:\, remove combofix and the C:\Qoobox\Quarantine\ folder from your computer, then run a fresh Kaspersky Online Scan using these settings.

    * The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
    * Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
    * Now click on Scan Settings
    * In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    * Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    * Standard
    * Scan Options:
    * Scan Archives
    * Scan Mail Bases
    * Click OK
    * Now under select a target to scan:
    * Select My Computer
    * This will program will start and scan your system.
    * The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
    * Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    * Now click on the Save as Text button:
    * Save the file to your desktop.

    Then post it here.

    Thanks...Phil

    Click the System Restore tab.
    Check Turn off System Restore.
    Click Apply, and then click OK.

    Reboot

    The issue of these files on the C:\ is not resolved, you do not need me to resolve it. Once you scan them, delete them if thy scan as bad.
