There are two files created as back-ups during installation:
    • regLocal.reg
    • regUsers.reg

The directory they are created in depends on the OS you have as follows:
    • Windows 95 or 98:
      C:\Windows\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Backups
    • Windows ME:
      C:\Windows\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Backups
    • Windows NT, 2000 or XP:
      C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Backups
    • Windows Vista:
      C:\ProgramData\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Backups

The two files are exported "REGEDIT4" type files of specific registry keys as follows:
    • regLocal.reg
      [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software]
    • regUsers.reg
      [HKEY_USERS]

Personally, I have never heard of anyone using these back-ups. Once you’ve run your system for any period of time they would be outdated and could possibly cause more harm than good to use. I would be extremely cautious about using them.

If you really want to use them (which I suggest you don't):
    • Using Windows Explorer, locate the file(s).
    • Double click on the file.
    • Answer Yes then OK.

Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.

Why are you trying to restore the registry?

If you have a system that supports System Restore or just using portions of the registry backups may be a better option.

Im not sure exactly what happened but after removing some spyware i get this error pop ups at startup.

    error loading C:\windows\system32\xxxweiok.dll
the specified module could not be found

    and

    error loading c:\windows\system32\vyrdmvmtf.dll
the specified module could not be found

I might have manually deleted the files from the registry.

btw the restoring the registry from backups didnt work any ideas how to fix this thanks.
