Computer unusable: zlob, fakeMSUpdate

So the other day I go on my computer and am greeted with a blue screen telling me that:
A Problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Technical information:

I restarted my computer and couldn't go more then 2 minutes without being greeted with the same message. My brother who was on the computer when it was last working says he was watching videos on youtube when he got the same message and the computer has not been unusable since.
I booted my computer in safe mode and ran spybot to see if anything came up and I got the following two items:
zlob.downloader.vcd
FakeMSUpdate.ede
Spybot has not been able to get rid of these two problems and I am in dire need of assistance.

A Backdoor is a software program that gives an attacker unauthorized access to a machine and the means for remotely controlling the machine without the user's knowledge. A Backdoor compromises system integrity by making changes to the system that allow it to by used by the attacker for malicious purposes unknown to the user.

One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor trojan.
This allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and Download and Execute files
I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.
Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Thanks I did read the sticky before I posted and am wondering if I did something wrong in my post. Anyway, I've changed the passwords for my bank accounts although I don't save the passwords for those sites in my browser. Since it would seem my choices are reinstall windows, reformat or buy a new computer I'm going to attempt to reformat my computer but I'm not sure if Dell gave me the discs when they sent me my computer. Do you know if they'll be able to send them to me if I give them a serial number or something? Thanks for your help.
