Default Need to learn about Registry Keys - which ones do I keep?

Ooops! Sorry - I already posted this in the Malware forum. I think I did a bad thing by not posting in this forum. Sorry Admins.

I am trying really hard to understand all that I've read, but it just isn't 'jelling' for me. I've been fighting this computer for five days now, and besides being exhausted, I'm totally confused. Would someone please tell me what these entries below are? I think they are Registry keys, is that right? Are they supposed to show up Red in the results? How do I tell what each one does, so I can decide whether to dump them?.....I have more questions, but let's start with these.

I'm using an old computer, OS is Win98se, Spybot 1.5.2.20 has been updated.

    ---------------------Next Question -----------------------------------

AS I was posting my first post - I checked the Info on my installed Spybot S & D - it gave me the ver fine - but said the latest update was 2 days ago. huh? I thought I updated first thing today -----so I tried to Update again. Immediately, Windows "somebody" screwed up and forced me to close. Then the error message said, " Exception EInvalidCast in module SDUPDATE.EXE at 00071FE3. Invalid class typecast."

I give up - it's time for a nap. Going without sleep is obviously not working for me. Meanwhile, I'd appreciate any clarification and/or warnings or spankings. I'll be back later.
