    Default So Slow...

Help! My computer's running about as fast as Big Brown in the Preakness....especially at startup.

I've run SpyBot (from Safemode) and removed the infections that were there, but it only seems to be marginally helping.

Can someone take a look at this HJT log and review it for 2 things:
    1) Is there something running I should get rid of
    2) Is there a process that's missing that I need

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

You know, HJT can not see everything and often malware is hidden which is why we run additional scans like Kaspersky, but at this point I see no malware, just stuff that should not be there and programs running at startup you don't need. This is the malware removal forum, and many folks are waiting for help. I will give you a little with these issues as long as you pay attention and follow directions.

    1) This is some of the very best information you will ever receive, read it and save the link to refer to:
    http://users.telenet.be/bluepatchy/m...wcomputer.html

here is some youtube that will help:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m7bcMap1DY
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search

    2) You are running two antivirus programs at the same time and this is not a good thing. They conflict with each other and you will be less safe than if you ran one good program and maintained it properly.
    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...00031316555206
"Microsoft recommends that you have only one anti-virus program installed on your computer."
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...120300087.html
    http://www.smartcomputing.com/editor...8s07/38s07.asp

    Authentium\AntiVirus\
    McAfee
You even have Stmantec running from your NT Services:
    O23 - Service: SymWMI Service (SymWSC) - Symantec Corporation - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Security Center\SymWSC.exe

Decide what you wish to run for antivirus protection (one) and uninstall the rest.

    3) C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5\ <<< this program is obsolete, uninstall it in AddRemove programs:
AVG Anti-Spyware and AVG Anti-Rootkit are no longer available
    http://free.grisoft.com/ww.download-...d-anti-rootkit

When you get that much finished, post a new HJT log and some performance feedback.

    Thanks
