    Hello alternator,

These sticky topics are in the same forum as the help topics, so as an FYI to all members.

"BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance)

Do NOT run 'fixes' before helpers have analyzed the HJT log

Until a helper responds, the HJT log has not been analyzed. Please wait to be advised and do NOT run fixes until asked.
This is especially important if your Operating System is Windows Vista!
Please note that all instructions given are customized for that member's computer only, the tools used may cause damage if run on a computer with different infections. Your symptoms may only appear to be similar.
It would be guessing to know what may have been done to the machine by employing instructions given to another user, or if your computer is now clean.

    Best regards.

Default ex-officio on the 24/12 clock question

In 98ME, the change from 12 to 24 hour clock setting format is in Control Panel -> Regional Settings, Timetab. If the first dialogue box has HH for the hour display, that's 24 hour format - if hh then 12 hour format. Letter case is important sometimes.

A nice enhancement for the taskbar clock that works for me:
