3 Threats, including Virtuemonde

Hi,

My father-in-law has been experiencing some weird issues with his PC, so as I am apparently the "tech-savvie" son-in-law, I was asked to come in and have a look.

To cut a long story short, he had a number of virus / spyware issues many of which have now been cleaned up. However, there are still which I just can't seem to kill off completely and I would greatly any support you guys can offer.

The 3 issues in question are:

CoolWWWSearch.Svchost32
Virtumonde
Zlob.DNSChange.Rtk

I have run Spybot in safe mode and it apparently removed them, I even restarted in safe mode following the clean up, re-ran the test and it came back clean.

However, as soon as I booted in to "normal" windows mode, the 3 items listed above seem to reinstall themselves again and I Spybot picks them back up again. So I need to understand how to remove them and stop them reinstalling themselves again when I reboot.

I have attached all the information I believe that you request when looking to assist with issues of this nature.

So, all that it leaves me to say is thanks very much in advance for any assistance anyone can offer. I truly appreciate it.

See above, it appears to remove them, but as soon as I reboot into "Normal" mode, they reinstall themselves and I am back to square one.

Please close this thread. After a bit of research and taking things carefully I have removed all apparent threats from the PC. Spybot is reporting the system as clean.
