moreover the program uses an exessive amount of ram (about 85 megs ) which is not normal i guess.

"Excessive" is a matter of personal opinion. The setting I use for Teatimer are such that it uses about 173MB of memory and I'm quite happy with that.

If you read through the the thread below you will perhaps have a better understanding of running Teatimer in Conserve Memory mode or Faster speed at the expense of using more memory.

Note that to be able to configure these modes, you must have Spybot 1.6.0.30 or 31 and Teatimer 1.6.1.21 or 22.
