Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

If you still need help, let's start like this:

A word of warning: Neither I nor sUBs are responsible for any damage you may have caused your machine by running ComboFix on your own. This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use.

Remove any old copies of combofix before you proceed.

Thanks to sUBs and anyone else who helped with this fix.

It is important that it is saved directly to your Desktop.

Download ComboFix from Here to your Desktop
    • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
    • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Post the combofix log and a new HJT log.

Thanks for returning your information...questions for you.

    1) Ask_Toolbar is running on this computer, see this information about that item:
    http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/ask-toolbars/
I will remove those, this removal is optional and you may leave the junk if you want it on your computer.

    2) I would like to know why you are still running Service Pack 1 when SP2 has been long ago released and SP3 is now released?

    3) Spybot TeaTimer was NOT running in this HJT log:
Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 5:57:57 PM, on 8/18/2008
Had it been I would have asked you to disable it until we finish.

Spybot TeaTimer is enabled in this HJT log?
Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 6:44:11 PM, on 8/21/2008

We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
    * Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
    * If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
    * On the left hand side, Click on Tools
    * Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
    * Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
    * Restart your computer.
(leave TT disabled until we finish)

    4) Changes were made between the time the first HJT log was posted and the second. Could you tell me what tools you ran.

    5) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
    http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

    6) Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the codebox below into it:

    Code:
    File::
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\wrcfudrp.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\kaajgk.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\EWFTIFFQ.0LL
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\vmgxpjic.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\cpyctt.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\yumvat.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\bnlvolyr.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\wrvaunfm.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\glwnol.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\BWSDCLUY.0LL
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\sahvxrxj.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\crjedu.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\hqtgqhtd.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\AFBEISDE.0LL
    Save this as CFScript

Referring to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe.

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThis log. (wait until you finish to post the logs)

    7) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = \blank.htm
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {0579B4B6-0293-4d73-B02D-5EBB0BA0F0A2} - C:\Program Files\AskSBar\SrchAstt\1.bin\A2SRCHAS.DLL
    O3 - Toolbar: Ask Toolbar - {F0D4B239-DA4B-4daf-81E4-DFEE4931A4AA} - C:\Program Files\AskSBar\bar\1.bin\ASKSBAR.DLL

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

    8) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
    Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

*Cleaning Prefetch may results in a few slow starts until the folder is repopulated:
    http://www.windowsnetworking.com/art...efetch-XP.html

    9) Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop
    http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe

    * Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
    * Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    * If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    * Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
    * When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    * Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    * When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
    * Please post the combofix log from CFScript, the MBAM log and a new HJT log.

Tell me how the computer is running now.

    Thanks

    hello,
This is my girlfriends computer, she was missing 16 windows updates plues SP2. I installed the updates but the computer keeps freezing when i try to install SP2, possibly because of all the malware on this machine.

Im not sure what was done between the two scans, her brother-in-law was overhere the other day and was also taking a look at it.

looks over things it looks like two main things infected are vundo and super.juan

Thanks for returning your information and the feedback. You may wait until we finish, but then you need to go to Windows Updates and download/install all Critical Updates for her computer including SP#3 (which should include SP#2). If you have problems, here is the Windows Updates troubleshooter:
    http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/
If you have problems with the installation of SP3, Microsoft has made free help available here: Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3 (All Languages)
    http://support.microsoft.com/oas/def...3&gprid=522131

Once again, please wait until we finish, the installation will have a better chance of succeeding if all malware is removed. Also...read my directions carefully, I asked why, I did not say to start installing stuff in the middle of the cleanup.

Please ask all others to stay out of your way unless they wish to do this job. I have more than I can do, and would be glad to turn it over to them, many folks need help we cannot get to.

Most of the stuff MBAM found are in combofix quarantine and infected System Restore files that we will clean soon.

All logs are looking good, I need to know how the computer is running at this point. Let's do this next step also.

I am sure you saw this:
WARNING -THIS MACHINE DOES NOT HAVE THE RECOVERY CONSOLE INSTALLED !!
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/comb...o-use-combofix
Review that information to understand Recovery Console. Installation is optional but if you do not have the CD's needed, as is explained, it can be installed before we remove combofix.
If you do not have access to Recovery Console via a Windows CD, I strongly advise you to install this tool.
If you do not wish to install RC, let me know so I can continue with the cleanup.
If you install RC, post the C:\*CF-RC.txt*.

Since we do not need to scan with combofix, click NO

    Thanks...Phil

RC installed correctly, some information about it:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307654
Recovery Console is a tool that will allow you to recover from a catastrophic system failure, so let's hope you never need it. Many experts believe Microsoft should have installed it by default.

I would be help if you were to say were F-Secure told you these infections were, but I will guess they are here:
Most of the stuff MBAM found are in combofix quarantine and infected System Restore files that we will clean soon.
as I said earlier in the instructions.

Remove combofix from the computer like this:

    Click START then RUN
Now type or copy Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK.
Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.

Clean the infected System Restore files like this:

    Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
    Click Properties.
    Click the System Restore tab.
    Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

    Reboot

    Turn ON System Restore,
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
    Click Properties.
    Click the System Restore tab.
    UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Run MBAM again to make sure we missed nothing, do not post a clean scan result.

Update F-Secure and run a system scan. If anything is located I need to know exacly what it is and exactly where it is located. F-Secure will provide that information in the scan results.

    Thanks
