Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Before we start start running tools, I am wondering which version of Spybot your are running. You said:
Spybot can't rid me of win32.murlo.ff.rtk on boot up or safe mode.
I am showing this item was added to the database 17. October 2007.
    http://www.safer-networking.org/mk/u...007-10-17.html
    Trojan: Win32.Murlo.ff.rtk

Would you view this information and make sure you are running the newest version of Spybot S&D and that you are fully immunized:
    Spybot-S&D 1.6 has arrived! 8. July 2008
    http://www.safer-networking.org/en/
    http://www.safer-networking.org/en/news/2008-07-08.html

Read the "Before you Post" instructions, Post#2 at the beginning and be sure you are running Spybot S&D as instructed. Let me know the results.

    Thanks

Thanks for returning your information, you said:
Yes I'm Running spybotS&D 1.6.0.31 It clears all but wim32.murlo.ff.rtk
It may be a false positive or a problem for the Spybot S&D experts. Let's have a look here in the malware forum first.

You have a problem in this new HJT log that was NOT in the first one:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [startdrv] C:\WINDOWS\Temp\startdrv.exe
    http://www.castlecops.com/startuplist-14748.html

Thanks to andymanchesta and anyone else who helped with the fix.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop
    http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/R...ools/SDFix.exe

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
    Restart your computer
    After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
    Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
    Choose your usual account.
Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
Finally post the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log

(Run MBAM also before you post the logs)

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop
    http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe

    * Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
    * Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    * If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    * Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
    * When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    * Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    * When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
    * Please post the logs from SDFix and MBAM and a new HJT log.

    Thanks

Thanks for returning your information, you asked:
Let me know what you think
I think SDFix remove the junk we could see and more junk that was hidden and we could not see. I also think MBAM remove more of the junk. We seem to have killed the malware (let me know about any malware symptoms) but we have other issues and we will do some cleaning now.
You may delete SDfix from your computer.

    1) C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2\ <<< your Java program is VERY BADLY out of date and could be why you got infected? See this:
    http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.p...80&postcount=2
Updating Java should be the next thing you do.

    2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
    http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

    3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

(you may leave any of the first three if you use them)
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.dell4me.com/myway
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = about:blank
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = about:blank

(these are damaged and not working right if at all, if you use them, install them again)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {089FD14D-132B-48FC-8861-0048AE113215} - C:\Program Files\SiteAdvisor\6172\SiteAdv.dll (file missing)
    O3 - Toolbar: McAfee SiteAdvisor - {0BF43445-2F28-4351-9252-17FE6E806AA0} - C:\Program Files\SiteAdvisor\6172\SiteAdv.dll (file missing)

(if you are postive these are safe, you may leave them)
    O15 - Trusted Zone: http://www.dailygraphs.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: http://www.investors.com

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

    4) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
    Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

*Cleaning Prefetch may results in a few slow starts until the folder is repopulated:
    http://www.windowsnetworking.com/art...efetch-XP.html

Restart and post a new HJT log with the updated Java running and some feedback about performance.

    Thanks...Phil

Thanks for returning you information and the feedback, looks like your Adobe Reader is out of date, if you use it you should update to the newest version:
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_adobe_reader/

Here is a small free tool that lets you know when something needs an update if you are interested: https://psi.secunia.com/ While PSI runs in the System Tray for realtime notifications, I personally prefer to turn it off in MSConfig and run it from All Programs when I want to do a check.

I suggest you update and run your resident security programs, McAfee, Windows Defender and Spybot S&D to make sure they are all scanning clean. If you have any issues with McAfee that may have been caused by malware, contact tech support for instruction:

I'll post this information for you now so you may benefit from it.
