Firefox v2.0.0.17 Immunizeation Problem

since I have installed Firefox v2.0.0.17 I can't get Spybot to immunize for me and before I put the new firefox in I undid the immunize because I know if you don't sometimes do that before you go to install a new build of firefox it can get messed up does anyone have the same problem? I'm thinking its something to do with spybot im sure they'll fix this in the next update because if you remember this happend about 2 build back if anyone has any info on how do fix this please respond thanks

Hello,

Please try the following:
Go to the folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox

There please delete the permissions.sqlite and generate a new file for the hostperm.1 that is empty.
Now please immunize again.
That should solve the problem.

ok i did what you said three times i even made the text file from scratch one time then renamed it and that didn't even work and made sure the hostperm.1 was left there one time and just renamed it just to see if the dreictions were a little off nothing is working for me I don't understand why because I see that it has worked for other people please help thankyou u guys are great

So you have not installed Firefox 3.0 yet?
I would suggest to do that now.

a. Uninstall Firefox
b. Uninstall Spybot 1.6
c. Search for and delete ALL permissions.sqlite files on my C:\ drive
d. Install new version of Firefox
e. As previously advised create and save empty hostperm.1 files in the appropriate Firefox folders
f. Reinstall Spybot 1.6, update and immunize.

why would i have to recreate a hostperm.1 file again if i delete all the folders that have to do with firefox before i put firefox 3 because doesn't spybot defult to look for the new firefox imunization because ive done that and it didn't work the only thing it didn't do at the time is make a new hostperm.1 file
