I've moved your post to it's own thread...
First please go to ADD/REMOVE programs in the Control Panel and uninstall surfsidekick ... allow the computer to reboot when prompted to do so ...
Then please post an up to date scan from hijackthis

hey Steam,
I ran Hijackthis and fixed a few of the "processes" (if they are called that) from the log and then Surfsidekick appeared on my "add and remove programs" list...after that i just uninstalled it through there and so far so good hopefully it stays that way.
