Sticking scan!!

My laptop has been running really slowly over the last couple of weeks and I keep getting a "copying" box popping up in the top left of the screen. When i use Spybot to scan my system it gets approx 1/2 way through and then seems to stick (slows down to a crawl first). It always shows Virtumonde.dll at the btm of the screen at the sticking point - does this mean i've got it!!

PS - i'm a bit of an IT idiot so please keep it simple if you can help
