    Unhappy Virtumonde...:(

I've been trying for an hour on my own using the spy bot to clean the freaking Virtumonde...useless as i've seen from all the other posts with this Trojan...what happened is simple..i was extracting a file and boom i get a question from spy bot telling me there is a registry change..i refuse it because i got scared but it kept popping up even though i had stopped and deleted what was extracting. It kept coming until i couldn't deny it anymore...so i had to allow...little did i know what would happen. i actually don't know if it has anything to do with the Trojan..but i ran scan anyways..and i found Virtumonde...i thought i could remove it easily turns out no...it's still there when i do another scan

I have XP 32bit SP2...at least that's what my dad installed..but it might have changed to SP3...either way i'm not very good with these small details on the computer..i'm scared to lose my computer...so i keep getting the spy bot registery changes message to allow them or deny...it's annoying i'm pretty sure it's the Trojan acting up Please help... i don't know with what else to provide you this is a scan i made now on HJT like i've seen the other users give..

    Hi luanaxo

To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

    1. Start HijackThis
    2. Click on the Config button
    3. Click on the Misc Tools button
    4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.

You will now be presented with a screen similar to the one below:

    5. Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad here on your next reply.

    this is what happened today:
i ran 3 spybot scans with internet turned off and it seemed to work..until it came back again. i tried to do the HJT thing when i saw the post u left and it doesn't open up a window telling me where to save it..if i click nothing happens and i dont know where it goes..

while i was trying to find the file's directory for the HJT list, my computer restarted itself after ESET my anti virus found a threat...then when it opened up a mysterious icon kept telling me he is downloading a anti spyware and bla bla pretty much a fake thing not from windows or ESET...so i disconected the net and am now using another computer to answer...

my dad tried to restore but the only restore point available is the one from yesterday when the trojan appeared on my computer...

the computr keeps restarting. :( it's pretty much dead to me and what if i reformat??

There is nothing wrong with your antivirus. No antivirus can catch all threats and that's why nowadays prevention is the key. I will give you soon some prevention tips.

Please post back a fresh HijackThis log next
